Since the Beginning

The kids were playing in the tub. I was doing the dishes (it's very safe, my doing the dishes while they're in the tub. I'm quite literally 5 feet away from them).

Mayhem erupted.

Jonathan hit me!

Chloe threw this at me On Purpose!

Only because you hit me!

You did it first!

It's not my fault!

It's not MY fault!

The voice of reason (that would be me, in this case): Guess what? It's both your faults. Please apologize to each other.

Silence.

Well,
says Chloe (and that little, unrepentant voice inside each and every one of us), it's only a little bit my fault, then.

Genesis 3:12 and 13

"Since the beginning" is right. And I often think it's only "a little bit" my fault.

Excellant, a bother and sister fighting, and life goes on. Can you imagine what our life would be now if it was Caan and Abbie instead of Able? By the way do you wash your kids in the sink?
